The personality of Dr. Mohammed Hamidullah, world famous lslamic Research scholar   needs no introduction. About whom the famous journal   ' Rabita’ in its issue April 1986 writes,

"Among the few Muslim scholars who have

enlightened the people of the western countries  about  the  divine message  of  Islam,  the  name  of Dr.  Muhammad Hamidullah tops the list.    He has written   many articles,   thesis, and books in different languages on Islam and also on the life of the Prophet of Islam.   This  helped  the  people  of  the West  to  understand   Islam  in its true  perspective and  to follow the righteous path."

At the age of 19, Abu  Mohammed  Khaleelullah Sahib  son  of  Kazi  Badruddolah   travelled along with his elder brother Hussain Athaullah Sahib from Madras to Hyderabad  on  29th Rajah 1293  AH and  after  some years permanently settled at Hyderabad  Deccan.

Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah, son of Hajji Abu Mohammad Khalilullah   was born at Hyderabad on Wednesday 16th Muharram 1326 AH corresponding to 19th February 1908.   After attaining   mastery over oriental studies, he did his M.A., and LLB. from the Osmania University, Hyderabad   Deccan.    He   obtained    D.Phil.  and D.Litt, degrees from the Universities of Germany and France respectively.   Dr.  Muhammad   Hamidullah   is well versed in many oriental languages like Arabic,   Urdu,   Persian and Turkish    besides   English,     German,     French,    Italian,' Greek, etc.

 Dr. Muhammed.  Hamidullah   gives   authoritative justification   for the celebration   of the birthday   of the   Holy Prophet.
